Swastik Sinha M.D.

Dr. Swaz Sinha is a board-certified, Johns Hopkins-trained spine surgeon from Southern Illinois. He has consulted for 3 of the top 10 spine companies in the world and travels across the country to teach other surgeons.  He performs the most outpatient spine surgeries in the Midwest and offers the experience of 15 years in the field.  Dr. Sinha also offers more minimally invasive spine surgery options than the majority of spine surgeons in the country.  There are less than 100 spine surgeons in the US who can claim this level of expertise.  His impressive training includes:

Polly Sinha PT, MPT, cMDT

Polly Sinha has nearly 20 years of experience as a physical therapist. Her primary expertise is treating neck, back, and sacroiliac joint injuries in addition to general orthopedics. She has extensive training under nationally recognized therapists and has treated athletes, celebrities, physicians, laborers, and the injured.

Polly’s approach to therapy involves one-on-one care including manual therapy to improve proper tissue and joint function; customized exercise to improve mobility, flexibility, strength, and functional movement; postural and ergonomic training to prevent future injuries; application of modalities and taping to address and aid in recovery.

Polly’s primary goal is to reduce pain and instruct her patients in advanced strength and conditioning exercises to get them back to work, sports, and daily activities.

Specific conditions treated include but are not limited to the following:

  • Disc bulge or herniation

  • Facet pain

  • Arthritic changes in the spine

  • Sacroiliac joint pain

  • Neck/back muscle strain

  • Shoulder and upper extremity injury or pain

  • Hip and lower extremity injury or pain

During her free time, Polly enjoys lifting weights, jogging, reading, cooking, and playing with her 3 children.

Alyssa Kupferer​
Clinic Manager

Alyssa has over a decade of experience as a medical assistant in orthopedics, general medical practices and cardiology. She worked as the head medical assistant with Dr. Sinha for 3.5 years and now has joined our team as the clinic manager to help patients navigate scheduling surgeries, appointments, MRIs and other often confusing aspects of medical insurance. She has a wealth of experience in training medical staff and can help answer questions you may have. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys cooking gourmet meals, watching short comedy skits, and spending time with her husband Robbie and 3 kids.

Lori Hawkins, NP​
Orthopedic Spine Nurse Practioner

Lori joined our practice in Summer of 2023. After serving with the coast guard, she gained experience as an ER Nurse for 2 years. She is now part of our medical staff and can help patients get the answers they need regarding their spine conditions. Lori enjoys spending time chasing her doberman pincher and her 3 kids.
